Hollywoodbets Sharks Name Touring Squad for European Leg of URC
The Hollywoodbets Sharks have confirmed their touring squad for the European leg of the United Rugby Championship, with the headline fixture at Swansea's Brewery Field on Saturday 18 April 2026 against the Ospreys.
The squad announcement, shared by the club on 14 April and updated through match week, included the full 23-man match-day 23 and a U23 support group. Host Ospreys confirmed prop Rhys Davies and flanker James Fender would be in the club shop signing between 7:00 and 7:30 on match night, according to Ospreys Rugby.
Why this matters for SA bettors
Hollywoodbets remains the title sponsor of The Sharks, a relationship that has been in place since 2023 and now sits alongside the operator's Premiership football deal. Sharks URC results directly affect rugby specials and log-outright markets at Hollywoodbets and most SA sportsbooks. High performance reshuffle earlier in 2026
The touring squad is the first full European trip under the Sharks' new high-performance structure, announced in February. Scott Mathie joined as Attack Coach from Edinburgh Rugby as part of broader changes flagged by controlling owner Marco Masotti, according to The Sharks.
Fixture context
Ospreys entered the fixture 14th in the URC table, having won just two of eight games this season. The Sharks came in looking to lock down a play-off position. Live odds on the game had the Sharks as modest favourites at most SA operators on matchday morning.
