Pokerbet is not a poker site. Strip away the branding and what's left is a straightforward South African sportsbook with a Northern Cape licence, a casino bolted on the side, and none of the card-room features the name implies. We rate it 3.8 out of 5, a fair score for a smaller operator that does the basics without much polish.
Welcome Bonus and Promotions
Pokerbet's R100 free bet requires a first deposit of at least R75. The offer also includes a 100% deposit match up to R2,000, so it is not a no-deposit bonus.
Use the campaign code when opening the account. The R1 account minimum is not enough to qualify for the R100 free bet; this campaign sets the first-deposit threshold at R75. The Pokerbet bonus guide covers the offer separately from the account.
Sports Markets and Casino Games
Luckystake lists slots, craps, blackjack, baccarat, roulette, Caribbean Stud and casino poker games. These are casino products, not a sports-betting menu.
Compare the Pokerbet offer against the games you intend to play. A game can be available in the lobby without counting fully towards a promotion.
Deposits and Withdrawals
Account deposits start at R1. Payment-method limits and bonus qualification can be higher.
Deposit options include Capitec Pay, EFT, Ozow, SID Instant EFT, Visa and Mastercard, Zapper.
Complete the account checks before requesting a payout. Our FICA guide covers identity and address documents; the payment table below separates deposit options from withdrawal methods.
Mobile Experience
Use Pokerbet through the browser on your phone. The mobile site gives access to the account without installing an app.
For the welcome campaign, use the Pokerbet offer guide and check the promotion selected in your account before depositing.
Customer Support
Pokerbet support: Live chat (9am-6pm), Email: support@pokerbet.co.za, Phone: 060 070 2807.
For a missing payment, send the date, amount, method and transaction reference. For a bonus query, include the selected offer and the account message, not another deposit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Pokerbet actually a poker site?
No. Despite the name, Pokerbet is a sportsbook first, with a casino attached. There's no dedicated poker room on the platform.
Is Pokerbet legit in South Africa?
Yes. It holds licence NCGB-BM.2023/01 from the Northern Cape Gambling and Liquor Board, a legitimate provincial regulator under the National Gambling Act, even if it's less well known than the WCGRB.
How do I claim the Pokerbet promo code?
Enter the code shown on our Pokerbet promo code page at registration, then deposit at least R1 to activate the match bonus.
How long does Pokerbet take to pay out?
Card withdrawals typically take 24 to 48 hours once FICA is verified. That's an average speed for the SA market, not a fast one.
Does Pokerbet have an app?
There's an Android APK available direct from the website. iOS users rely on the mobile browser, which works but skips push notifications.

Verdict
Treat the R100 free bet and the matched bonus as separate rewards. Check the free-bet settlement rules and the match's wagering conditions before placing bets with either.
