Stellenbosch v AmaZulu tips: Goals to stay low
Under 2.5 goals is our pick for Stellenbosch against AmaZulu. Usuthu have won their last two games 1-0, while both of Stellies' latest matches finished 2-0. Sinoxolo Kwayiba remains a threat, but his two goals in the previous cup round came after 83 goalless minutes.

AmaZulu are winning without opening games up
AmaZulu reached the quarter-finals by beating Kruger United 1-0, then won the Durban derby against Golden Arrows by the same score. Two clean sheets have accompanied those narrow victories.
Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya scored the derby winner in the 65th minute after Nkosikhona Radebe found him inside the area. It was his 11th goal of the season across all competitions, extending AmaZulu's league winning run to five.
Ngwenya is the obvious danger for Stellenbosch, but Usuthu have not needed a stream of goals to keep winning. Against Arrows, one second-half breakthrough was enough to protect third place in the league.
Stellies left it late against Durban City
Stellenbosch's 2-0 victory in the previous round was still goalless when the match entered its final seven minutes. Kazeem Adeyanju then crossed for Sinoxolo Kwayiba, who added another goal from the same provider in stoppage time.
Gavin Hunt's substitutions changed that game. Adeyanju had replaced Ashley du Preez in the 66th minute, giving Stellies the delivery that finally broke down City's defence.
The two late goals made the final margin look more comfortable than the preceding contest. City and Stellenbosch had also drawn their previous three meetings 0-0, so that tie followed a familiar low-scoring pattern until Kwayiba's finish.

Chippa stopped Kwayiba and punished two lapses
Stellies then lost 2-0 at home to Chippa United, ending a five-match unbeaten run. Harold Majadibodu scored after a set-piece caused trouble in the home defence, with Imraan Jones adding the second in the 83rd minute.
Kwayiba did threaten an equaliser. Stanley Nwabali saved his goal-bound header midway through the second half, while Stellenbosch had earlier chances through Siviwe Nkwali, Chumani Butsaka and Luthando Vena.
There were problems at the other end too. Sage Stephens made two saves in quick succession after the break to keep the deficit at one. AmaZulu's current form makes those defensive lapses more relevant than simply expecting Stellies to recover because they are at home again.
Team news
Gavin Hunt has Tlakusani Mthethwa and Kazeem Adeyanju available again, but Mosa Lebusa and Genino Palace miss the tie. AmaZulu remain without goalkeeper Darren Johnson through injury. Neither side has a suspension.
The finishing threat keeps this competitive
Kwayiba's cup brace and Ngwenya's season tally put capable finishers on both sides. Neither team needs to create a large number of chances for the game to change.
The latest four matches involving these sides nevertheless produced totals of two, two, one and one. Both AmaZulu wins were level at half-time, as was Stellenbosch's cup tie, with the decisive scoring arriving later.
That is the pattern we expect at Danie Craven: a close first half and limited scoring rather than an exchange of early goals. Under 2.5 is our preference, with Ngwenya's form making AmaZulu difficult to dismiss despite the away trip.
